Simpl – The iPad website builder
I seem to have a number of hats to wear as I go through life. One of them involves designing and developing Mobile Apps. A recently released native iPad app has been put up for an award by Future Insights – ”App it Out”. Before I ask you to go and vote I thought that I’d better tell you something about it.
Simpl is a website builder. The brief was to develop an app which made creating, publishing, and managing a simple website, simple. Creating something that is this simple didn’t turn out to be all that simple at all. The user can create pages from a predefined set of templates, apply a theme, and publish the site all from within the app.
The initial release has gone down very well and we have lots of ideas to take the product forward. Check out simpl.com for more information and the teaser video is below.

This is really great but a little to simple. I spent the last 2 days trying to find something I could use on the iPad. Bloody flash. Yours is the first one that works and simpl to use. But … Too simple. Need to be able to add more photo pages, modify a few more things, submenus, upload to my own server, batch photo upload. A little more and would be perfect.

Some good apps. Of course I voted for simpl, a great idea the next great leap up from1&1 DIY websites. Quantum cards and scan are great uses of the technology.
